So, what is a journalist doing with a public relations degree? Well, nothing. But it's still in my back pocket!
During my time studying abroad in Paris, I worked for two American designers at Paris Fashion Week. Over a two month period in the heart of Paris, I was a client relations intern with Badgley Mischka. I assisted the sales team with the organization of the showroom, dressed and managed models, prepared client appointments and tracked client information and total business.
From August 2019 to May 2021, I held an external communications and relationships internship with Washington State University's Office of the President. Within this position, I designed and wrote various forms of print and digital communications (like event briefs, social media content, news stories and newsletters) to share with the public that served the needs of the president. I also served as a liaison between students, the president of the university and the communication department.
